When listening to music, the human brain lights up like christmas tree. It releases the "feel good" chemicals in the brains pleasure center. Aside from making you feel good, music has been shown to be good for your health. It has been shown that listening to music can boost cell protection against bacteria. Music is also a common ground found with all humans. Music's ability to bring people together is nearly unparalleled. Similar to sports and religion, music is found in all cultures acround the planet, even though we all evolved independently. Music can give people hope when they have none and allow people to keep hope when they do. It can bring you up in times of sorrow.
